Nuclear Holocaust Averted

Thank God that the nuclear confrontation between the two south Asian nuclear states of India and Pakistan was averted due to timely intervention of the super cop America and as a result ceasefire was agreed upon by both conflict borne nations. In fact the agreement of the ceasefire by both India and Pakistan not only averted nuclear war and consequent destruction of men material money and other natural resources in the two countries. It is so good and timely that the two countries have agreed upon the decision of enforcing ceasefire and it resulted in saving the lives of the thousands of the innocent people and destruction of fauna ,flora and other natural resources. The people of India, Pakistan and the whole of south Asian nations and in fact the world heaved a sigh of relief when the news of the ceasefire was telecast from the TV.

Both nations have been spared from the disaster of a nuclear war and people had the relief of hearing the pleasant and soothing news that the war was over and that the parties to the war opted for and chose cessation of hostilities and therefore people of the two countries have been spared from all the horrors of an atomic war which is against the interests of any country and better sense and sanity prevailed on both India and Pakistan that they both agreed to cessation of hostilities in the larger interests of people in both countries. The people of the two countries are lucky enough that the war has not turned into nuke confrontation and the reason of the two nation has prevailed and the war has been abruptly stopped just after the three days and imagine if the war had turned into a nuclear war ,it would have wrought total destruction to the two countries men, material and natural and national resources and those who would have survived the nuclear war would encounter many health hazards. The nuclear war has been forestalled and the destruction has been avoided and the humanity has been saved by the right decision of the ceasefire by the two nations at war. Nuclear war has been averted numerous times due to deterrence doctrine and due to the fact that it will create mass destruction of the countries at war.

Nuclear war was averted ,often attributed to the doctrine of mutually assured destruction –MAD, which has been a significant factor in global stability during the cold war and beyond. The primary benefit is the prevention of catastrophic loss of life and widespread destruction ,as well as the potential for a nuclear winter ,which could lead to long-term environmental and societal damage. Additionally ,the existence of nuclear weapons has arguably fostered a sense of caution and restraint in international relations ,discouraging large-scale conventional conflicts that could escalate to nuclear war. Mutually Assured destruction implies that this theory posts that the potential for both sides to inflict devastating damage upon each other acts as a deterrent , preventing other party from initiating a nuclear attack. The knowledge that any nuclear attack would be met with a retaliatory strike, resulting in widespread devastation for all involved discourages its use. In fact the very fact that the presence of nuclear weapons, while controversial, has been argued to reduce the risk of a large–scale conventional conflicts between the nuclear armed nations.

The threat of nuclear war created a compelling incentive for finding peaceful solutions. The fear of a nuclear war has led to the development of international treatises and agreements aimed at preventing the proliferation of nuclear weapons and promoting nuclear disarmament. These efforts ,while not always successful ,contribute to a more stable global environment. While nuclear deterrence has prevented nuclear war, it is not without its risks. The possibility of accidental nuclear war ,the potential of escalation of conventional conflicts ,and the moral implications of nuclear weapons are ongoing concerns. It is in the fitness of things to know the meaning of a nuclear war.  Any way nuclear war is very devastating and results in loss of life,  property and national and natural resources and so it should not be resorted to in the interest of peace and stability in the globe. India and Pakistan each have about 170 nuclear weapons. A nuclear war between India and Pakistan would produce smoke from fires in cities and industrial areas. That smoke would rise into the stratosphere ,the atmospheric layer above troposphere where we live, which has no rain to wash out the smoke. The research made in US has found that smoke would block out sun, making it cold, dark and dry at earth’s surface, chocking agriculture for five years or more around the world. The result would be global famine. Nuclear war are a violent conflict due to the use of nuclear weapons as weapons of war that cause immense loss of life, destruction, and devastation among many other consequences for large numbers of people. Nuclear wars go beyond traditional war due to long-range attacks and unintended consequences of actions and reactions derived from the initiation of a nuclear event. Deterrence theory states that nuclear weapons are meant to deter other states from attacking countries with nuclear weapons by ensuring retaliation and sometimes mutual assured destruction. Nuclear deterrence can also extend to claims against an attack by other conventional forces. The horrors and dangers of nuclear war will be extremely huge for both India and Pakistan and these countries have realized the dangers of an atomic war and thus they have agreed on ceasefire true and the nuclear war was thus avoided which is in the interest of the people of Indian sub-continent and the ceasefire should be welcomed by all. But back home many political parties belonging to opposition are politicking the ceasefire and they are criticizing the Modi government for bowing before US and accepting their interference in our internal matters.

But to put records straight, Modi has categorically stated that India will not allow any third party intervention and negotiation in our affairs and all bilateral issues would be resolved mutually by the two nations and the question of a third party intervention is plainly out of question. Modi has also straightly called US President Donald Trump to stay away from mediation as it is India’s consistent policy that the third party interference is not allowed. Coming back to the main story of the write up ,it is so good that India and Pakistan have agreed on ceasefire and as a result nuke war between the two atomic weapon states has been avoided and it gave a great relief to the people of both the countries. It is quite well that ceasefire has been agreed and implemented but Indian army, navy and air force should remain on its toes and watch all happenings in the neighborhood as Pakistan is in fact being ruled by military general and they cannot be trusted given their past record of stabbing at the back and so our defense forces remain ever alert and war off any eventuality in near future. In brief the atomic war at least has been avoided which is a great favor to the people of both the nations.
