India’s Love for Samosas and Jalebis Comes at a Heavy Price

 

We humans should be health conscious and should take snacks samosas and Jalebi sparingly and limit its consumption as these snacks are not good for health.  It is safe to say that samosas Jalebi, Rasgullas are injurious to health. We should be health conscious and consume these things  very scarcely if we want to be healthy.. The recent reports reveal that samosas, Jalebi Rasgullas etc are dangerous for human health and so people have been advised to take these things occassionally and limit its consumption.. The centre government has issued advisory that these snacks are harmful and bad for human health so people should not consume samosas Jalebi and Rasgullas so often rather take these things occassionally. 

The central government has asked all traders to mention clearly the quantity of sugar, oils and fats used in preparing samosas, Jalebi and Rasgulla etc. Now the centre government is making sincere efforts to educate, inform and make the consumers people aware about the harmful effects of various snacks so that people on their own will make minimum consumption of the confectionary articles in order to ensure that sweets and samosas will not harm the people's health. It is good to make minimum. consumption of the confectionary items in order to keep our health good and healthy.

Samosas, Jalabi and Rasgulla are as harmful to human health as tabacco and cigarettes and so that People should make minimum consumption of these products, snacks etc. It is very difficult to ban such products and the government as such has no proposal to ban these goods of consumption and therefore the health ministry of GOI has issued proper advisory for all confectioners and traders to specify clearly the quantity of sugar oils trans fats used in the preparation of samosas and Jalebis, Rasgullas etc so that people get the right information and they can decide how much to use such products.  People will be surprised to know that consumption of samosas Jalebis  and Rasgulla are as harmful to human health as cigarettes. But people do not know it and hence fall prey to use such articles this affecting their health. 

The latest development in the Indian government introducing health warning boards for samosas jalebis similar to tobacco warnings in government institutions and public spaces Thus it aims to address the rising issue of obesity and promotes health i.e eating habits by highlighting the high sugar and oil content in these public snacks. The Union Health ministry recently issued an advisory regarding food items like samosas and jalebis but it does not mandate warning labels on these or any other Indian snacks. The advisory focuses on raising awareness about hidden fats and excessive sugar in various food products particularly in workplaces. It recommends displaying boards about the harmful effects of excessive consumption of these substances. The Health Ministry advisory aims at promoting healthier food choices in work places not at imposing warning labels on Street food vendors. The advisory encourages work places to display boards highlighting the dangers of excessive fat and sugar intake. The advisory is abroad initiative to make people aware of the potential health risks.
