Dr. Gwashlal Koul — A Luminary of Modern Medicine in Kashmir
Dr. Gwashlal Koul occupies a distinguished place in the medical history of Kashmir and is remembered for his pioneering role in bringing modern medical practice to the Valley. Born in 1900 in Srinagar, he achieved the remarkable distinction of becoming the first Kashmiri to obtain the prestigious MRCP (England).
