Surinsar, situated 9 kilometer away from Mansar and about 42 kilometers off Jammu, is completely closed with hills and lush green forests. Although the lake is comparatively smaller in size from Mansar Lake, in terms of beauty, it represents quite a stiff competition for it, with an island in the middle. Swimming or boating in this lake is restricted out of reverence. It is a wetland with a bird sanctuary rich in habitat diversity for a wide range of birds. Waterbirds flourish in this lake, making it bird-watcher paradise. Tourists can unwind in Surinsar Lake, which has a water-located lotus garden. In the summer, the lake becomes picturesque, with a profusion of blooming lotus flowers on its surface. The surrounding hills lend a tranquil ambiance, isolating it from Urban life, thus offering peaceful times. There are so many visiting options within perfectly peaceful surroundings; their company with nature serves as a refreshing drink. The Tourism Department provides some great accommodations nearby, complete with amenities for a visit to savor the incredible natural beauty of the region.

To preserve its natural balance and tranquility, boating is not allowed on Surinsar Lake. Although it is smaller than Mansar Lake, Surinsar has its own distinct charm. Spanning approximately 4 kilometers, the lake's scenic beauty is particularly enhanced in the summer when the flowers bloom, creating a stunning landscape.
